Big Trees, Little Kids

We saw a lot of big, beautiful Redwood trees yesterday. They are incredible! The Founder's Tree that the kids are standing by is only 12 feet in diameter. We have seen many pictures of old trees that were logged that were 20-25 feet in diameter. In the last picture you can see how big the bark is. There is a piece of bark that angles down to the left of Alex that the kids used as a stairway to climb up onto this fallen giant.
