A Second First!

We always look forward to the firearm deer season. This year we looked forward to it even more, because Alex would be able to hunt for the first time. Alex got his first deer and I was able to videotape it. Alex had a good year hunting, and he still wants to keep going out. What more could a dad want!

Hoop Dreams

Em started playing basketball this fall. She is a tough defender, made a few baskets and most of the time her socks even matched!

Sam's Birthday Party

We had Sam's entire kindergarten class here for Sam's party.

Emily's Birthday Party

Emily and Jayden had their parties sort of together this year. First all the kids went bowling for Jayden's party and then we took them all to Three Rivers Gymnastics for Em's party. The kids had a blast at both stops.

Kitchen Soccer!

Santa gave Sam a soccer ball and a goal and of course it is too cold to play outside, so the kitchen has become a soccer field. Nothing has gotten broken YET. If (and when) it does, I think the goal will be retired until spring

US Flag

Alex received a very cool birthday gift from Karen's brother Pat. It is a flag that was flown over the naval base that Pat was stationed at in Iraq. The pictures in the case are of the flag flying in Iraq.

Getting The Tree!

Every year we head out to find the perfect Christmas tree. This year we were late getting it (both by the calendar - it was the second week of Dec, and late in the day - it was basically dark by the time we made it to the tree farm) but we still found a pretty good specimen. It was also very cold (the "smoke" in the blurry picture is Karen's breath).
