Mt. Rainier

We have been able to see Mt. Rainier everyday here so far. I understand that is unusual for this time of year. Alex took this picture. I guess the weather gods have been in our favor so far. I have a few minutes between lunch and more meetings so I will update a little.

Free Internet

We are sitting waiting for a ferry back across to Seattle. They have a one week free WiFi internet trial and I figured I should take advantage whenever I can. Last night we stayed in a cabin with no internet access. I have no idea what has happened in the world the last couple days. I do know that the weather in NW Washington has been great! When we left our motel in Ellensburg, WA we noticed the restaurant next door was the Ranch House. Of course we needed a picture. Janele, notice Karen's coffee cup. She has enjoyed her coffee! Ellensburg, WA

We made it to Ellensburg, WA (a little over 100 miles east of Seattle) tonight at 10:15 p.m. (Pacific Time) and are staying at a Comfort Inn. The pool did not close until 11:00 so the kids were pretty excited to swim. Tomorrow we plan to see Olympic National Park (at least the parts not closed for winter) and the ocean.

Perry and Lesa Miller

We drove to Perry and Lesa Miller's house in Bozeman, MT and spent yesterday evening and this morning catching up on the last several years. We enjoyed lasagna (with elk burger) last night and pancakes and elk sausage for breakfast. They had received about 20 inches of snow the last several days and we saw these 20 deer cross the road in front of us only a couple of blocks from Perry and Lesa's. We also saw a herd of about 100 elk that the snow had pushed down from the mountains but it was too dark for a picture.

This morning Sophie woke the whole house when she walked into the hall and was met unexpectedly by Perry's big dog! Thanks Perry and Lesa for some great food and fellowship! P.S. Lesa, Karen wanted to say a special thank you for the wonderful coffee! You should open a coffee shop! Oh, yeh you already have one. Thanks again!

Montana

We drove across eastern Montana yesterday on the way to Bozeman and this is how the family enjoyed themselves. Thanks Sandra for Karen's blinders and ear plugs!
